American Dream

After watching the President’s State of the Union speech last night, I’ve decided to speak my mind. President Obama hit on a number of my frustrations and tapped into my anger.
I was one of the people that the Preident talked about during his address. I’m very angry about the polarization and partianship of state and federal politics. It’s as if nobody cares to find solutions. Politicians just want to blame, criticize and obstruct.
And I totally agree that the political process problems are not party specific. Both parties share the blame for failure to lead and legislate.
I’m also tired of special interests getting priority over people’s interest. Most politicians are willing to sell out the majority for the benefit of the few and powerful. It’s as if politicians do not fear the people.
I figure the political process will not change unless people like me speak out in support of the President’s effort to reach meaningful compromise and to address fairness and equity.
I will be blogging more in the future about the broken political process and identifying those that are part of the problem.
