American Dream

We all have self interests that color our perceptions.  The rich that shelter their assets in Swiss accounts perceive the American tax system as unjust and irrational.  The teacher with seniority perceives performance based evaluations as unfair and inconsistent with past practice.  The CEOs with large incentive compensation packages perceive compensation reform as contrary to our system of rewarding performance.  Such self centered perceptions are MADNESS.

I believe that decisions narrowly defined by our self interest will surely compromise the common good.
